Configuration in SD for MTO standard scenario

Hi All,

MTO scenario is a standard PP process which depends on the following three things:

1. Strategy Group

2. MRP groups

3. Item category and MRP type

Now Item category and MRP type combination also determines Schedule line category in SD. I want to know if there is any specific settings required in schedule line category or at some other place in SD to enable MTO scenario.

Its a complex scenario.. but see below:

1:Use strategy group 20

2: MRP type PD

3:Av chk 02

4:Item Categ grp 0001

5:Item Categ TAK

6: Schd Line Categ CP (this is standard Schd line category)

7;Req Class 040

Hello Ravi

The entire set up is included in the block u2018Transfer of Requirements' : Menu path: SPRO/IMG/Sales and Distribution/Basic Functions/Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements/Transfer of Requirements.

You have described the settings correctly. The only additional control is whether you transfer requirements or not for a given SL category. Though Requirement class controls how Transfer of Reqs works, you have an additional handle in SL category definition. Anyway, this setting also figures in the above block.

Apart from TOR, is there any other setting which is responsible for enabling the complete end to end MTO scenario like

1. In Item Category, "Special stock" should be maintained as "E".

2. In MM03 - MRP4 view, Indivual/ Collective req should be maintained.

Similarly, are there any other settings in SD or PP side.
