Hi SRM Experts,
Can anybody tel what is diff in SU01 user and SRM user
Regards
D Ganesh
Hi,
In SRM , user must be a business partner, so SRM users should have business partner number.
In SRM there is a Organization structure (Transaction : PPOSA_BBP (display) PPOCA_BBP (create) PPOMA_BBP (Maintenance)).
User Ids have been created in SU01 then those Ids need to be assiged in Organization structure (Transaction USERS_GEN) . If you assign those users in organization structure then those users can access SRM portal, according to their role (like purchaser) . Those user's User Id and password, Role will be maintained through SU01 transaction.

Hi there,
Please see the note 402592 that explains that correct use of SRM in a
CUA environment.
If you are using HR replication with CUA, then the user must be
replicated from HR to SRM, not created via SU01.
If you are using option 2, when you just have CUA and SRM and no
HR system active then the users must be created in SRM locally, using
BBPUSERMAINT or BBPAT05.
The users will then be automatically distributed back to the CUA system.
You should not do this vice-versa, i.e -> create the user in CUA and
then using SU01 create the user in SRM.
This is what you are doing and the reason for the error message is
because the SRM system detects that the user already exists in CUA and
would therefore not be able to distribute the user back to CUA from
SRM.
Please proceed as per your system setup.
-If you have HR-> distribute the user from HR
-If you only have SRM and CUA, please create the users locally in SRM.
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
Matthew
