Hi,

I am using SeeBurger VAN/FTP adapter for IDOC-XI-EDI scenario.

In seeburger receiver VAN/FTP adapter, where I have to set the target path. My target path is very long (15 characters).

I am able to configure Host, Port, User id and password.

Please suggest where to put the path name in seeburger receiver VAN/FTP adapter.

Thanks,

Madan Agrawal

Madan,

Can you please let me know which Adapter you used to connect to ICC VAN ?

Was it Seeburger VAN/FTP dapter or some other FTP adapter from seeburger.

If VAN/FTP adapter was used then which message protocol did you use ?

Thanks

Anand

There is a field called Host Path/VAN Partner ID. Try that.

I already tried with "Host Path/VAN Partner ID" but it is giving the below error.

"User Message Class is having more than 8 characters"

My target path is of 15 characters.

Please let me know if I can create an global allias of my long target path with a small name which I can access it form this option "Host Path/VAN Partner ID".

Or Can we set the target path via dynamic attributes?

What is the Message protocol you are using in the channel? For EDI messages, it is possible that the address is captured from message itself. What is the data you are trying to pass?

The dynamic attribute with Subject can be used to pass the Host path usually.

Hi Prateek,

I am sending DELVRY03 to EDI ANSI X12 856.

Dynamic Attributes: SUBJECT is used for target Path or File name?

what is the code that I have to write in MM, to pass the PATH to SUBJECT.

Thanks,

Hey dude,

Which VAN provider you are using; there are only a handful.

BTW don't worry about the path you don't need it. Your message will still be delivered to the right Mailbox so long you have given the username (mailbox)/password.

Happy to assist further

Hi Madan,

Still waiting for you to the answer the above;

You don't need this HOST Path/VAN Partner ID field to have any value your message will still go.

However if there is really a reason to fill it please let me know and I will pull up the manual to find it for you?

Hi,

Yes, my clients have given the PATH amd FTP address.

As per your suggestion, I tried without giving any path, but still the error is coming.

Please let me know how to configure the PATH.

1. If we can achieve this by dynamic configuration then please provide the code for the same (if possible)

2. If we can achieve this by Host Path/ Partner ID then please suggest how.

Thanks,

HI Madan,

Can you please tell me which VAN provider you are meant to use? It is the same question which Prateek asked above 'which protocol' without this it is hard to help dude.

I just checked and half of them don't want you to use this field 'host path;

Also the error is different ...

1) Are you doing FTP or FTPS?

2) which VAN/Protocol

2) Do you have access to Seeburger knowledge base?

Hi Madan,

If you access to the knowledge base please search for the error message in there that is the best way to go.

Secondly Please read up on the FTP PDF and in relation to the protocol you are using you will find your answer

So finally you replied what the Message Protocol is

Check FTP_en guide available with Seeburger adapters. There details about IBM IE with ANSI X12 is provided.

Sorry Madan got busy ...

Dude I need more information if you are still stuck;

1) Can you connect to the VAN?

2) Can you poll in a message? (I mean is your Inbound working atleast?)

3) Are you having this issue for only a certain client or all of them?
