System refresh from EHP4 ECC6.0 to

Dear All,

Can we do the systsem refresh from the source to target for the following scenario using backup/ restore

technique?

Source system: ECC6.0 EHP4/ NW7.01

Target syatem: ECC6.0/NW7.00

OS: WindowsNT, DB Oracle.

Hi,

If system is dual stack system then you have to do it via system copy tool then backup/restore will not work. As for Java most of config lies in file system.

Dear Purna,

Yes you can do this. You will need to proceed as follows:

1. Restore source on to target database.

2. Upgrade the target kernel to 7.01.

3. Perform post-refresh steps like changing DB Schema, etc. I think you must be having these steps or else refer to system refresh guides.
