Hi Experts,
I have a question regarding the ACC functionality in PLM 7.0:
If we have ACC through WUI, and a user accesses the system through the GUI system, are the ACC authorizations taken into account to control who can or cannot access the master data in the backend?

Hi Neil,
ACC functionality is used to restrict the user access to objects (materials, documents, BOM's) through PLM WUI only.
ACC cannot restrict the user to access the objects when accessing from backend.
You can prevent a user from accessing materials, material BOMs, and change numbers by means of a SAPGUI by removing the transaction codes for these object types from the authorization object S_TCODE from the roles assigned to the user with the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction.
