How to handle situation for exipred employee status in BP

Hello,

Given a situation as below;

SRM Version 4.0 with HR ALE active in place. All HR data is getting replicated back to SRM and creating Business Partner in SRM along with CP/P/O. If user A has been replicated in SRM from HR system and has been used in the purchasing documents as document creator or approver in some cases. Then after let us say 1 year this user ID has became inactive in HR system because user A has resigned from the organisation. Once Personal number for user A became inactive, during next HR replication run system sets Centrally block and Employee relatioship as Expired in SRM Business Partner. So further on this Business Partner is no more in use. But how to deal with the old or historical documents where this business partner was used as document creator or approver and these documents are still in process ?

This could be a generic scenarios in most of the SRM system wherever HR ALE Active.

Hi,

Its always best practice to forward the work items pending for a user who is going to be terminated so that another user will approve/reject or confirm goods. You can also write a small code to change the GUID of terminated person on a business object and assign another GUID.
