Seasonal Planning in DP

Hi All

In SCM5.1 , in Planning Area Customizing I see 2 fields :

1) Seasonal Planning

2) Default Seasonal Pattern

My understanding is that seasonality is solely configured through the Forecast profile.

--Is this right or

--are the above fields mandatory in addition

Hi,

These are not mandatory fields and you can configure this

based on your requirement.

However, if you want to maintain seasonality function

throughout the planning area and also if you need a default

seasonal pattern across the planning area, then you can

prefer this.
