ATP check issue with Batch determination

Why dynamic availability check is carrying out at the time of picking the batches in delivery document? Is this all because of setting what we have in delivery item category.

Config Setting: Avt check off field is blank. If we change it to X or Y, will it allow us to pick the batches without avt check carrying out in delivery document.

I have referred few SAP Notes, but those talks like this is due to item category config or availability check group config.

Can any one clarify what exactly controls the dynamic avt check at the time of picking the batches in delivery. Is it only item category config or both (Item catg config and checking group config).

Hi All,

We found the route cause and solution for this issue.

Rootcause: Note that PGI is purely based on on-hand stock. However the availability check during picking is based on the configuration associated with the main (Header level item) item category/batch spilt item category of the line item.

This configuration has different results for batch scenarios and non batch scenarios. The dynamic availability check is carried out at the time of batch determination in the delivery document.

SPRO - SD - Basic functions - AVC and transfer of requirements - AVC -AVC with ATP logic - Define Checking groups
