Dear Consultants,
Can any of you please tell me about UAT and SIT briefly .
Thanks In Advance
Arish
Hi Arish Ahmed,
Intigration test means values will be picked up in the cross modules. For Example if you try to create a sales order Route and Shipping point needs to be determined. its linked to SD and MM module. We can check whether the values are flowing from the different modules or not.
UAT is the process will do by business after configuration, they will complete the all business scenarios and cycles. Usually this will be done by Key users.
Once they confirms then implementation team will go ahead further.
I hope it will clear.

SK

Hi there,
Sit is done at functional level by IT developers. As an IT developer /. consultant, after you finish your configs or ABAP developments, you will 1st test of the configs & code is working properly as per expectation. For eg if you define a new shipping point, you will drop a sales order to see if the shipping point is proposed correctly in a sales order. Here test cases is developed by IT.
UAT is done by business users. After you finish your SIT, you will then ask the business user to test the configs / developments. HE will then test it with all possible scenarios. Test cases are developed by business. Only when UAT is successful, you will move the changes to production.
At the higher level both SIT & UAT means testing. But SIT is done by internal IT but UAT is done by business users.

Sivanand
