Pallet Label

Hi,

My client manufactures dairy products like cheese, butter etc. The cheese / butter after manufacturing will be packed in a box and the boxes go into pallets.

SAP Catch weight management is in scope to capturing each box weight will vary for each box. For example, box1 weight could be 42.5 and box 2 weight could be 42.1. There are high speed in-line scales present in production lines which weight each box.

At the current time we are planning to perform goods receipt for production order at individual pallet (One pallet may have 54 boxes ). A pallet label will be printed which contains information like number of boxes, cumulative weight of all boxes.

The current approach is to scan the pallet label from which we can pull the number of boxes and cumulative weight of all boxes which will be input for goods receipt / yield of production order.

The question what I have is how to bring the data from in-line weight scale to pallet label ? do we have any standard SAP shop-floor interfaces to weights from in-line weight scales to SAP ? The challenge is each plant has got their own in-line scales can one interface program will help to get data from different in-line scales ?

How this was handled in your previous projects ? Please advice.

Regards

S
