Copy a system (client) partly

Hi Gurus,

How to copy a BW system (client) partly? Can I copy by Infoareas (cubes, dso, DTPs, transformations)?

I will activate a new system and need the some objects of the other (old) client.

Hi,

As suggested above, the client copy is not suggested between two BI systems. What you can do is install other new system and make sure that it is having same release and patch level as the other. Now configure STMS between both of them and then after that take all the objects from old system which you want to move to new systems in to a transport requests and transport it.

I think this way there should not be any issues.

Hi,

I don't think so it is recommended to copy partly object from one system to other system.
