Messages Archiving & Deletion issu

Hi Experts,

I am facing an issue with archiving & deletion of XML messages.

when i check in the table SXMSPMAST the ITfaction=DEL for 42 Laks messages, when i run the delete job it is deleted few messages and finished immediately. after this i have activated "switch procedure" then i scheduled the Delete job again and it has taken long time to complete and around 35lak messages are copied into another table SXMSPMAST2.

again after scheduling the job it is again started coping the messages from table SXMSPMAST2 to SXMSPMAST,

when i run the reorg status job still the job is displaying number messages in data base is 42 laks.

can any body me what exactely happening here and how can i delete the messages that is copied into the table SXMXPMAST2.

Hi Neeru,

Here I did an explanation that may help you in the Archiving/Deleting process:

Checking out the report RXMB_SHOW_STATUS,

you can see the status of some messages, for example, if they're not in

status 000, 003 and 006, which means they're in final state, then it may

means that some messages were not ready to be processed by the default

job you configure.

There're three pre-requisites for deleting/archiving messages:

1- Age of message (older than the retention period)

2- Message status is final

3- Adapter status is final

Also, we have to consider the messages in report

RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS, that shows us the messages that are being

'considered' and those are being 'ignored'.

The first one takes all the three pre-requisites in account; the second

one takes only the first pre-requisite in account.

The status of the messages are take in account when the default job

you set up runs.

It was just an explanation about the procedures of Archiving/Deleting

for you to understand.

Also, the list of interfaces for archiving are located in transaction

SXMB_ADMIN -> Integration Engine -> Configuration -> "Define

Interfaces for Archivng and Retention Periods").

All interfaces which are not found in that list are flagged for

deletion by default.

Hi ,

The answer looks like archiving & deletion procedure.

But request is differnt, the swithch procedure is activated and all the messages moved into another table SXMSPMAST2, how can i delete the messages that is moved into the table SXMSPMAST2. when i start the delete job switch is activated and the table SXMSPMAST table is filling the data, i am not aware from where this data is copied. and SXMSPMAST2 table data still available.

after deactivating the switch job when i schedule the delete job through SXMD_ADM it is again acting like switch and data is copying into the SXMSPMAST table. if i schedule the archiving & delete jobs from SM36 seperately these are getting cancelled with the error "Repeat terminated copy job first".

all the message status is delete in SXMSPMAST & SXMSPMAST2.

how can delete the messages from both the tables.

Hi,

I have checked in the table SXMSPMAST and the message status =3 and ITFACTION=DEL, so can any one help is this messages will delete from the system or not? and if it is not how can we delete it ? is we need to change any status for the messages and how can we change the status?

Can any body help me with this issue.
