Mail from SAP to Yahoo or Gmail

Dear Team,

I am using ECC6.0 On Hp_Ux with Oracle 10.2

I want to send mail from SAP to my yahoo or Gmail ID.

I have configure SMTP in T_Code SCOT only.

Now How I send mail from SAP to my yahoo or Gmail ID . Whats configuration should I change in SAP or OS level

Hi,

In order to send the mail to external email domain like yahoo or gmail, you need to take care of the following...

Apart from the SCOT configuration :

1. SMTP server should be directly reachable from SAP Host.

2. SMTP server host entry should be configure in /etc/hosts file. (should be reachable by hostname).

3. SMTP server should permitt relaying from your SAP Host. That means SAP Host should be configured as a trusted host on SMTP server).

4. You can install and use "Local email server as relay agent" for your SAP Host.

5. Then you can send mail from SAP Business Workplace (Txcode - SBWP)

Please also read the general configuration note #455140 for this.

You have to use a mail server, which you can connect to SAP according to this note.
