Hi,
We had installed SCM7.0, after that we installed MAXDB, when we try to login at DBMCLI we are getting an error "-24948,ERR_NODBNAME: database name required", can somebody help us here and also is there any documentation available with post processing details to install MAXDB after SCM7.0 installation ?
Thanks,
Sukruth

Hi Rajesh,
LC database is up and running. but when we enter database connection as LCA in integration click on monitoring in LC10 we get the below error msg.
Name and Server : ECM - mb5ap1039
DBMRFC Function : DBM_CONNECT
Error : DBM Error
Return Code : -100
Error Message : ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM
also in SM21 i see error "database error 4008 at con"
Any idea regarding this?

Hello Sukruth,
-> Post additional information:
Did you install ECM liveCache instance on mb5ap1039 server?
What is the version of the liveCache instance?
Could you connect to the liveCache instance using dbmcli tool:
Dbmcli u2013d ECM u2013n mb5ap1039 u2013u control,<pwd>
?
What is the OS of the liveCache server?
What errors did you see in the dbmsrv_<servername>.prt located in <IndepDataPath>/wrk?
< You could run u201Cxinstinfou201D and u201Cxinstinfo ECMu201D to see the < IndepDataPath> on u201Cmb5ap1039u201D>
dbm.prt file located in the database RUNDIRECTORY.
-> You are SAP customer. Did you open the SAP message on this issue?
-> For SAP liveCache documentation please see the SAP note 767598.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
Hi Natalia,
Answers for ur questions as below:
1. Yes ECM live cache is installed on the mentioned server.
2. Livecache server version 7.7.
3. Yes i am able to connect to ECM through DBMCLI.
4. OS of live cache server is Windows2003.
5. Last error found in the dnmsrv*.prt is DBM SERVER client disconnected. (i feel this is not relevent to our current discussion).
The issue seems to be in connection from SAP to live cache. I am facing the error saying "ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART could not start DBM"
And also When i checked RFC connection SAPDB_DBM the connection getting failed after a timeout.
Some more info:
tcode SM49: external command DBMCLI executed:
Error! Connection failed to node (local) for database (no dbname): -24700,ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM server. -24701,ERR_EXHNDLR: Could not initialize exception handler. -24748,ERR_FILEOPEN: Error opening file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdb\data\wrk\dbmsrv_MB5AP1039.err -24826,ERR_NIERROR: Can not open file 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdb\data\wrk\dbmsrv_MB5AP1039.err'. External program terminated with exit code 2
Can you please help me out in this regard if you have any idea.
Thanks,
Sukruth

Hello Sukruth,
1. Please update with output of the commands on MB5AP1039:
xinstinfo
xinstinfo ECM
Could you login to the server as <SCM_SID>adm user and run:
dbmcli u2013s dbm_version
2. Please check, that the user for the windows service which contains the
application server, the "SAPService<SCM-SID>" user, have sufficient
access rights to the files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdb\data\wrk
(because the error is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdb\data\wrk\dbmsrv_MB5AP1039.err. Can not open file; >
Did you reboot the server after installation?
3. You are SAP customer. Did you open the SAP message on this issue?
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
