Hi,
We have to install the SAP Portal 7 in a distributed environment on the extranet server. Each (db, scs and CI) server has firewalls installed.
I want to identify the ports that would be required to be opened for the installation and functioning of portal.
I have identified the following ports on SCS and CI
SAPINST Ports 21200, 21212, 4239,
Message Server 50000, 3300, 3200, 3900
I have identified the following ports on DB
SAPINST Ports 21200, 21212, 4239
Listener Port 1527, 3200, 3300, 3900
Could you please add/ modify the current list of ports required to be opened?
Thanks,
Antarpreet
Hi Antarpreet,
The ports you have choosen are proper.
For DB Instance port 1527 is enough.
For other instances, please check the corresponding instance numbers and change the ports accordingly. Because if you install CI with instance number 02 and open port 3900, it may not help. You may have to open 3902 in that case.
Cheers...,
Raghu

Hi,
You can also analyse "system and firwall logs" during installation.
It will provide you the information like which traffic is blocked / dropped.
So that you can open the ports on a perticular accordingly..
