Copy Shipped HUs to Customer Returns Delivery

We are a catch weight managed business who manage every unit (case) as an HU. As a consequence, the customer returns process has become incredibly difficult to manage. If we get a full truck return it could mean manually recreating 1500+ HUs on the returns delivery. Has anybody come across this before or figured out a way to get the original HUs off the outbound delivery that was shipped, back onto the returns delivery?

Hi Jonathan,

We are using a similar kind of scenario with STO process. What we do is create an STO Outbound Delivery. Pack them. And after PGI is done, we trigger SPED output type to create an inbound Delivery for the receiving warehouse based on Outbound Delivery, which rehangs all the Packed HUs to Inbound Delivery. So what you can do in your case is that, trigger SPED output type manually or when needed on the Outbound Delivery . For Inbound Delivery creation, system needs receiving Plant/Storage Location information. So, you have to tweak the SPED output program to provide the Returns Delivery type , Plant/Storage Location as receiving warehouse . This may need a little bit of customizing , but should work.

1 deliery outbound HU's need to be copied to a single returns delery 0r multiple delieries outbound HU's need to be copied to one returns deliery?

yes, it would be one outbound copied to the inbound
