Hi,
we would like to send a file/document from a PI 710 system to a non-SAP system using HTTPS over internet. could any of you suggest solution in SAP PI 710. (note that we dont want to expose our PI system to Internet and also can not use FTP too.)

do you need a step by step help? or are you just happy with an overview answer?
Please let me know... Just did this recently ... very easy to do..
Also before you upload the file on the remote server do you need to do any kind of authentication e.g. user/pwd?
if so is it meant to be in the header or in the body?

You may use Soap adapter with attachment to send data to receiver system. PI wont be directly exposed to internet in the setup.
Use Soap with attachments.

Use HTTP or SOAP adapter to send the file. Configure the same for HTTP.
You do not expose PI to internet, as you send a file. But of course PI must have internet access.
