Backup not finished

Hi All,

I am working on Db2 database, windows server,ecc6.0

Daily we take full offline backup by morning it will finsh. But today it not finished , no user is able to login ,showing popup database not connected . so i restarted server now it is fine. But i not able to find problem why backup is not finished.

in sm21 log report shows

Database error: TemSe->XRTAB(3)->4 for table TST01 key XRTAB#3#4#TST01 #

For this do a consistency check on Temse and delete the inconsistencies, but I have a feeling that this was not the cause of the error.

Did you check the backup logs?

i runned consistency check i found these two

000 JOBLGX_ZOMBIE_X48363 1 Object reset Length = 0

so i will delete these

can you please tell me where to find backup logs in db2 database

in db12 i not found any thing on todays date

in db13 i found that backup sheduling failed and log show

Please check db2diag.log in directory /db2/<SID>/db2dump. Also paste log here of the time around u started backup.

As per the logs when system was trying to stop database it was not able to stop all database processes as you can see db2fmp process terminated with nonzero rc. I think this might be one of the reason of failure of your system backup.

Hi,

Sometimes it may happen that when system is trying to stop the database then it is not able to do so because of some dead processes as a result it leads to database stop failure and I think this was your case.

what does it mean any problem with network ??
