sales area error

Dear All,

I'm getting error while creating the customer master vide xd01 , All ncessary setting done in SPRO (creation of sales area, assignment of sales office to sales area, defined common divisions & Distribution channels) but in xd01 transaction error is coming "Sales area 1001 10 11 is not defined for customers". I have checked in TVTA table where only 3 fields are updated i.e. sales org, dis. channel & division other fields are blank. Plz guide me what other things are missing.

Hi,

Please check the setup sales area in the Assignment.

Path: SPRO->ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE->ASSIGNMENT->SALES & DISTRIBUTION->SETUP SALES AREA.

Please Assign the sales organisation , Distribution channel, and division.

If the assignment is correct, it will display in the TVTA table.

Please check and revert

Hi santosh,

Checked as per your advice and all mentioned T codes and found same as all other sales areas, It started when I have created one new sales area yesterday. In TVTA table only 3 entries is passed but for other sales areas all other fileds are updated. Plz help to solve this issue.

Creating Customer Master (XD01) -

---

> Make sure ur selecting the correct account group ( in ur case ur required one)

By mistake if u select wrong one system will give error "

Hi,

This error comes because have missed below configuration.

Pls. check that.

IMG Path:

Sales and Distribution / Master Data / Define Common Distribution Channels

Here, you have to specify below.

Sales org 1001, DC 10 - DCh-Conds as 10 and DCh-Cust/Mt as 10.

and

IMG Path:

Sales and Distribution / Master Data / Define Common Divisions

Here, you have to specify below.

Sales org 1001, Dv 11 - DivCon as 11 and DivCus as 11.

Then try from a new customer and check. You should not get that error again.

Hi Anupa,

I have already mainained the common division dis channel and it is working in quality server but in production server it is not working and in TVTA tables only updaing 1st 4 fields.

Check in T-code VOR1---Define Common Distribution Channel

VOR2----Define Common Division

Also Check

OVAO---Combine Sales Organizatio

OVAM--Combine Distribution Channel

OVAN---Combine Division

Check with this tcodes .whether Common Distribution has done with ur requirement.

Also check

VOR1

VOR2.

In VOR1 and VOR2 go for new entries and difine common dist channels and Divisions

This should solve the matter
