Error while create/change Validation/Assignment after upgrade to MDM 7.1

Former Member

Hi,

We have upgraded from MDM 5.5 to MDM 7.1.

In our Test system, we are not allowed to create new or change exisiting Validations and Assignments.

We get the following error-message:

Field not found <0xFFAA1000>

Version 7.1 (7.1.04.132)

Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Thank you.

KR,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

the structure of expressions has changed with 7.1 SP04. Please repair your repository from the Console in order to fix the issues.

Best regards

Christian

Hi Thomas

This can happen due to multiple reasons-

1. Some field, say, F1 is defined in 5.5 repository data model with field type1 but in MDM 7.1 the field type has changed for F1.

2. Any of the fields has not been transported after the upgrade. Please do a schema compare and run a verify-> Check report after the schema migration.

3. In validation expression say you are using a lookup value XXX in 5.5 but the same value is not present in 7.1 repository.

Hope this helps-

thanks

Ravi
