Sandhya

No need of doing all these things.

Just follow these steps.

1. Go to the directory where you have kept all the installation data.

suppose you have all the data in /sap/Dump//51033517_8/SAP_solution_M. 7.0Inst._Master/IM_Linux_x86_64/

then

cd /sap/Dump//51033517_8/SAP_solution_M. 7.0Inst._Master/IM_Linux_x86_64

2. If you have installed java then it will be in this directory /opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142

now create the environment variable with these commands

export JAVA_HOME=/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142

export PATH=$PATH:/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142/bin

3. xhost +

4../sapinst

It will open the installation window.

Stiil if you have problem . i can demonstrate you on my demo server if you have access to teamviwer.

Thanks

Hi Sandhya,

i am not sure why SAP System option is not coming in installation master...as you are installting freshly why don't you go for SOLMAN EHP1 (SAP SOLUTION MANAGER" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1).

if you want to proceed with SOLMAN 7.0 only please try to download the master dvd again and also cross check with OS team that they have done Linux 64 bit OS.

Hi Palle,

The reason behind this is your server is not 64 bit OS, please check with uname -m commad so that u will come to know your OS bit version.

Please update the message

Hello Pelle,

I am afraid Laxman is correct.

The last 32 bit versions was Solution Manager 4.0 SR3.

And 32 bit versions are out of maintenance, so you will need a 64 bit platform.

Paul

Hi Palle,

It seems you are trying to install on 32 bit OS , you should use 64 bit OS for installing the same
