Different length for CityField in VA01 and XD03 matchcodes

Hi everyone.

The problem I have is that the length of the city field in the matchcodes of several transactions is smaller than the real value of this field.

For example if you go to transaction XD03 and display de Customer matchcode or go to VA01 and display de Sold-To-Party matchcode the length of the City Field is 25 characters and actually Citys can have up to 35 char. So the search through city does not always work correctly.

I have been asked to solve this. Any idea or suggestion? Is there any SAP Note that solves this out?

Check Note 422300 - Matchcode search according to name restricted to 25 chars
