brtools: Warning about license

Former Member

Hi,

when executin brtools like brbackup, brconnect, brarchive I get the warning:

BR1304W Checking SAP license failed at location BrLicCheck-104

BR0602W No valid SAP license found - please contact SAP

There is no error message before that two line and the tools are working without any problems, but terminate with RC=1.

This behaviour started when the temporary lices expired. We allready installed a valid permanent license and everything else works fine.

The system was build via a systemcopy. I allready deleted all old entries beloning to the source database in the table "saplikey".

We don't have errorness entries as described in oss note 1440360.

The system a Netweaver 7.0 EHP1 on Linux Oracle 10.0.2.4.

Does anyone has an idea?

Regards

Ulrike

Hi,

Have you checked note 912969 about this problem?

If the backup is performed using the backint, make sure that "DIR_LIBRARY" is set in the environment of the backint scheduler

and also that the sapseculib is able to access by the backint scheduler

Hello Javier,

thanks for the answer. The solution was to recreate the synonyms:

brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o <sap_owner>

Hi,

Delete the temporary license and you will not face this problem again.

This is due to availability of expired license key.

Hello Ulrike,

In SLICENSE do you still have a reference to the old temp license? I have seen this before where removing the temp license if it is still present resolved the warnings in the Brtools run.

to have an idea, you can turn BR_TRACE on and have much more info on what is checked.

Please read SAP note 29321 - Creating traces for BR Tools.

then, post the relevant lines with warnings.
