Cost Center field making mandatory

Hi Experts,

As we know cost center field is not mandatory,when we create shopping cart. I have a requirement that Cost Center field has to to be mandatory , if the user not entering Cost Center field it should not create shopping cart.

No account assignment exists

you can validate them

but in SRM 550

always it ask ..

what version /sp are you in?

Yes, it displays the message . But when we click on Order it creating order without the cost center.

So here I have to make this as mandatory.I am working on SRM5.5 on ITS .

Did you order as direct ? double confirm me. if it so Account assignment folder will be disappear?

Hi,

Even we had the similar requirement and i tried many option of change the warning message to error etc etc but didn't really work, finally we end up using BBP_DOC_check badi to check the account assignment and give a message accordingly.

I solved my problem by triggering the messages when no cost center is mentioned using BADI_DOC_CHANGE .
