Issue: "Material is stock-relevant and posted in warehouse"

Hi

I have a lot generated in QA32 via MIGO. Some of the quantity is posted to blocked stock after UD. Now when I am trying to reverse that blocked stock to QI, its showing the msg "Material is stock-relevant and posted in warehouse". It wont let me transfer the stock to QI.

I activated 08 insp. type and trying 349 mvt. type in MB1B.

Am I wrong somewhere?

Hi,

You are correct do following :

1) Asign 08 insp type to material ( please see that post to insp stock tick is active in material master of 08 type)

2) Make quality plan with usage 9

3) Do MB1B with movement 349, put receiving and issuing storage location and post.

4) System will generate insp lot with 08 movement type which you can check and post stock to unrestricted.

Thanks! I I forgot to tick post to insp. check box. Its working now.

I did this with usage 5.

What difference will it make with usage 9?

Hi,

If you remove the post to inspection tick from that insp type then system will generate the inspection lot but stock will not be posted to Quality.

Thus your conrol over stock is lost, really speaking without stock posting there is no point in just inspection. As whatever you do stock is already posted to unrestricted.
