Message no. /SAPAPO/TSM173

I had done the same steps for other POS and it had worked correctly. but for this getting a strange error.

Can someone help me out in this....

Thanks

Thanks Datta,

I checked the same and it gives only sucessful logs for the other POS that I had done.

The one that gives the error is not showing any logs.

Thanks

Hi,

Is your newly to be added charactistic active and error free. Before saving POS, please check if POS is consistent.

We should get error logs.

Thanks Datta for the reply.

When I run the cons. check for the POS after adding the new Chara. it says " No error".

We are using the consumption groups and i am not sure if that could create any issue, these are the steps I follow.

Deleted transaction data. - BM, BR FC, FA,

changed or deleted the Consumption group.

deleted the time series for PA.

Deactivated the POS.

After adding this new chara. its not getting saved.

But when I come out, without adding any chara. and right click, activate & POS gets activated.

I had gone and checked the Chara consistency in the cube. there also it says no error....

Thanks

Aswath.

Hi,

I hope you are aware that the use of additional characteristics for Supply Network Planning is not supported. For an example of a master planning object structure with the correct characteristics for Supply Network Planning, see 9ASNPBAS.

Hi Datta,

If I understood correctly... I am deactivating a DP Planning Area and POS...

I am not working with copy of SNP POS or SNP Planning Area,

thanks

Hi ,

Okay , you are trying to change a POS in APO DP.

Therefore you should be able to add a characteristics in the POS.

Do you get a pop-up as below:

Dependent planning areas already exist for the XXXXXX

planning structure. Changing the structure may lead to

loss of data and inconsistencies (see long text).

Continue?

Hi Aswath,

I am trying recreate a scenario, but not able to do, I am able to add a new characteristic.

Are you adding any SAP standard characteristic or your own defined ?

I do not think this as an authorization problem, but you can just check /nSU53.

I may propose you to raise an OSS message also.

Hi Datta,

SAP has checked and udpated that the namespace /BIC & / BIO/ was changed to non modifible

I am not sure how this was changed as its a Basis setting.

Hi Aswath,

I did not realize that you were modifying SAP standard POB.

Anyway, I hope this was an useful discussion.
