Hi,
We have PI 7.1 SP09 configured with CTS+.
Suddenly we get a strange problem, Communication Channels idoc sender type are transfered without "Transport protocol", "Message protocol" & the description.
This prevents from the object to be activated in QA. After several checks we got that the problem appears only in CC Idoc sender type and not in other communication channels. Also, we have created a new CC and tried to transfer, it also got the problem.
The last change in our system was upgrade from PI 7.1 SP06 -> SP09.
Please advice,
Dimitry Haritonov
Found the problem !!!
different versions of ESR in the DEV and QA systems. Once I've updated it to the latest version SAP BASIS SP09, the problem was solved.

HI Dima,
Are you using IDOC packaging? If not then there is no need of a sender IDOC channel and sender Agreement for any IDOC sender scenarios. This is because IDOC adapter resides on the ABAP stack and run on the integration server which is also present on the ABAP stack.

the transports are successful.
you need to manually edit the channel and activate it after the transport.
this is not only with IDoc sender but other sender adapters also during their first transport

You are right about file adapter and stuff, that after the transport we need to insert for example
a server name and so on. But we never did it with Idoc adapter, the fields that are missing always transfered without any manual interaction (I'm talking about Transport protocol", "Message protocol" and even the description).
any idea ?
