Error during Installation

Hi gurus

I am installing Netweaver 2004 DI.

While starting the installation i got the following error.

MOS-01049 Processing of host operation

Hi,

Just before starting sapinst, while you are defining the environment variable for JAVA_HOME, please also define the env var for SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<hostname of the server>

Maybe sapinst is unable to obtain the hostname of the server and hence this problem.

Please try this and let us know if this works.

this looks like a bug. Please ensure you are using the very latest sapinst patch as per SAP note 929929 - Latest SAPinst Patch
