Data Governance Methodologies: Model master data (Data Modelling), data quality(Validations, Assignments) and streamline business processes (smooth flow of data using workflows) which is complete and accurate data(does not have any inconsistencies and incomplete data).

2)Can anyone let me know technically what we do in sap mdm to achive data governance?

- Designing the Data model in such way that any change happen you from any system it can be captured

Validating the changes , tracking the changes in Changeu2013Tracking, Assigning Users Roles , Creating

Workflow in SAP MDM.

2)Can anyone let me know technically what we do in sap mdm to achive data governance?

- Using BPM and workflow at portal level and using Java API to monitor changes in system

Approval process if any change happen in system

This can be used as a template for governed material creation based on SAP NetWeaver MDM and BPM. Additionally, the article [Error-Free, Consistent Master Data Starts at the Source|; reveals the basics of how to set up a governed data creation process using SAP NetWeaver MDM and BPM

Data governance in SAP MDM can be achieved using-

1. Data modelling for the repository- defining primary keys, field type, length, calculated expressions etc.

2. Using Validations and Assignment expressions in Data manager.

3. Using workflow with steps like Validate, Match(for finding potential duplicates), process etc.
