SDM gui on NetWeaver CE 7.11

where is SDM on a NetWeaver CE 7.11 istance? How can I start SDM gui?

Hi,

Please go to the below location.

/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGXX/SDM/program

If your SAP system on windows than run RemoteGui.bat & if your SAP system is running on Unix than run RemoteGui.sh under the above mention location.

How to Run SDM gui.

On windows

Login as <SID>ADM &Double click on RemoteGui.bat.

On Unix.

Login as <SID>ADM &Set the enviornment variable using below command

export DISPLAY=<Your system IP>:0.0 ( if you are using KSH shell)

& than run ./RemoteGui.sh

It's a CE 7.11, this path doesn't exist. It's J2EE only.

On /usr/sap/<SID>/JXX/ there era only:

There is no SDM on 7.1, you'd use NWDS or using deploy or undploy command after telnet to the j2ee.

As per my knowledge you are right.

In NW 7.1 the Java Dispatcher is replaced by ICM and SDM is removed but not completely, now it is not used anymore for patch deployment.
Also in NW 7.1 'The fast channel architecture is used for the first time'.

Standard JVM is been replaced by 'SAP JVM'.

Not sure about CE but from 7.1 systems SDM and Visual Admin have been removed and the functionality has been added to NWA.
