Hi guys,
Just a quick question.
My client is planning on SAP upgrade from ECC5 to 6. However, they are contemplating on implementing GRC access control ....
Do you have any info on pros and cons of implementing GRC before of after an upgrade?
Thanks in advance,
Aj

Akhan,
It doesn't matter. AC will work with ECC 5 or 6 without any issues. Depending on the client needs, you can implement GRC AC before or after the upgrade.

Alpesh, Anjan,
Is it possible to install GRC AC 5. 3 on ECC 5.0. Wil there be any limitations if its installed on ECC 5.0.
OR its mandatory for AC 5.3 to install and work only on ECC 6.0 Installation guide says to install on NW 2004s which should mean ECC 6.0 but here you suggested it can be installed ECC 5.0. Please suggest.
Thanks.

Hi Sanjay,
GRC 5.3 will be sperately installed on NW2004s Java SP12. What you install on ECC Backend is the RTA. GRC 5.3 works with ECC 5.0 or 6.0 as backend without any problems. So you can integrate either ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0. But the RTA you install as add-on on ECC will differ with the Backend version.

Hi Aj
As already stated by Alpesh GRC AC will work with both versions of SAP without issues. However in GRC RAR you need to ensure that new transactions & objects which come in with ECC 6 are taken into account while creation of new functions and rules.
Thanks.
