LucianV,

Go to se38

Run RSCPSETEDITOR

Desactive SAPscript and Smart Form boxes

And click in Activate button.

This will bring the message to disable the MSWord

Hi,

I've this message as I tried to run I18N - MS WORD as Editor

"MS Word is a default editor now. Please read SAP Note 742662."

and no display of the next screen to remove checks.

so:

se24

class:

cl_i18n_system_settings

Execute (F8)

Choose(execute):

MAINTAIN_TCP0I

Fill:

IM_HISTORY = ' ' (space)

IM_NAME = SMARTFORMS_EDITOR

IM_VALUE = ' ' (space)

IM_VALUE_240 = ' ' (space)

Execute (F8)

The system will still say that "MS Word is a default editor now. ...." and won't allow you to open that option in i18n, but in Smartforms no MS Word

Hi, in NW7.01 Environment, you can just simply add an entry

smartforms_editor X 20100804114218 to table TCP0I.

Then reopen a SMARTFORMS session, the text editor will be the traditional editor, not MS Word.

if you want to turn on MS Word again, just delete the entry you added.

I tested this in SAP NW7.01 environment.

This may cause some unexpected character problems (character set, encoding) so please don't do it in real project.

Thanks Fei Li. This idea helped me to revert back to original traditional editor, as word editor is bit slow.

Go to transaction I18N->I18n Customizing->MS Word As Editor.

Then You'll get a screen asking to select any check box from SAPscript or Smartforms.

There you can check the smartform and your default MS Word Editor will be deactivated.

And if your are not getting the screen after MS Word As Editor the go to SE38 and Run a Report RSCPSETEDOTOR.

Here you will get the screen to select the or deselect MS Word Editor.

Hi,

after few years this report saved me :-). After SAP upgrade I18N doesn't work and working with word is horrible, nearly impossible. So this report solved it.

Thank you.

Hi Kosmo,

The steps to turn off MS Word as Sapscript editor are:

Transaction I18N -> I18N Customizing -> MSWord as Editor.

Here you should first check the flag settings for 'Sapscript' and 'Smartforms'

Then click on 'Activate'.

Then you should then uncheck the flag settings for 'Sapscript' and 'Smartforms'. Again click on 'Activate'.

After this the MS Word editor should be deactivated. For ECC, this is activated by default and you have to follow the steps above to disable it.

Hi,

Take a look at note 742662, if you are at a higher release of netweaver you can nolonger turn the MS Word editor off.
