XI to XI using SSL

Hi Experts,

I'm having a scenario, file to xi to XI to file...

so this xi to XI communication will be done over the net.

So in the receiver xi communication channel.. I have to enable SSL??

Can ne one guide me thru it???

Using SSL is not mandatory. It is dependent upon the business requirement.

First you must decide upon the protocol/channel with which you would be communicating, e.g. soap, XI.

we have decided the scenario lik ethis..

So im receiver xi channel I will use XI receiver adapter and in the http detination , I will give use SSL,

Is this sufficient to ensure transport level security???

How can i actually go abt enabling SSL in the ABAP stack?

As I mentioned it is not mandatory to use SSL, it may depend upon the landscape and accessibility of one PI server from other.
