Dear Experts,

I had a following scenario to map in PM module. can anybody guide me to map this process?

we had no.of equipments under one functional location and will go through preventive maintenance on yearly basis. For this, i will create the single cycle yearly maintenance plan which comprices of maintenance items, which is fine. out of these equipments some of the equipments will go for routine maintenance like quarterly, half-yearly, tri-quarterly. user want to club these scenarios also in single preventive maintenance plan. when we scdule this plan, system has to deliver monthly orders and as well as yearly orders from single preventive maintenance plan.

Thanks & Regards,

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

For to solve your problem

1) Create a Maintenance Strategy with package as quarterly, half-yearly, tri-quarterly.

2) Create Task List with maintenance Strategy and assign package as quarterly, half-yearly, tri-quarterly.

3) Create Maintenance item one each for your grouped equipment (group equip for which u want maint in same cycle).

4) In maintenance item use the task list as created above and in object list item tab assign all the equipment (which are in same group)

5) Do the same for all maintenance iteam. i.e. one imaintenance item for each group.

6) Assign those maintenance items to your single preventive maintenance plan and schedule it.

Now from single preventive maintenance plan as per your group of equipment you will get order monthly and year (as per your package).

Dear Tejas,

Thanks for your valuable information.

how to group equipments in the maintenance items? is it through object list items?

when we mention strategy in the task list header, we will assign opeartion sequence. Accordingly for the equipment, group of opeartions from the task list is being selected and appeared in the order opeartion list. when we assign task list to the maintenace item which is having group of equipments, task list will applicable to all equipemnts or not? these will result different orders after scheduling for mutilple equipments? Kindly confirm.

Krishna.

Hi Tejas,

I checked the said scenario, by adding multiple equipments in the object list without putting any reference object in the maintenance item and scheduled the plan as per standard. it resulted sigle order comprises of multiple objects (equipments).

the cost is not flowing to any of the object it is askling settlemnt rule while scheduling (costcentre). In this case nothing history is not flowing against any of the equipments. Kindly suggest is there any alternative way to capture the requirement.

Thanks in advance,

hi,

In MP one order is created for one Maintenance item for all the eqpts mentioned in the object list of the maintenance item .If you want different order for each eqpt then create a maintenance item for each eqpt in the MP .

Hi Krishna,

Cost is always gets settled on cost center of reference object. And here you have not entered reference object.

Eventhough you enter multple equipments in object list and one reference object for maintenance plan, then all maintenance cost incurred on equipments entered in object list will get trasfered to reference equipment not to individual object list entries.
