Does NWBC replace ITS WebGUI?

Does the Netweaver Business Client replace the ITS WebGUI for accessing ECC transactions through the Portal?

Hi,

ITS is required when you are accessing ECC transactions through the browser and even in the portal.

NWBC is just another client that is used to open ECC. (just like sapgui, browser, etc.)

Thus, NWBC does not replace ITS functionality when it comes to portal having to use ITS. It is only when you are using the ECC system through NWBC (and not portal) that functionality of ITS is not required.

When will SAP retire/replace ITS technology? It is so old and outdated...

Hi,

ITS has already been replaced by BSP and Abap Web Dynpros.

ITS is still there only for webgui and for some older SRM releases.
