CIF: Business Partner Type does not exist

I am transferring vendor from ECC to SCM both as vendor and partner. While activating the integration model I get an error saying that <Business Partner Type does not exist, choose either 1 or 2 or 3>. Has anyone come across this error and solved it?

Hi Manoj,

In ECC go to vendor Master change Xk02 enter your vendor code which you need to CIF to SCM and checked address field.

and maintained Title as <b>"Comapny"</b>.

Now try to CIF the vendor to SCM with both Location and partner creation option.

Dear Manoj Mishra ,

The error message /SAPAPO/LOM084: "Business partner type &1 does not exist" was introduced by the note 1350970. As you can check the coding in the note, the error message araises in case a customizing Entry missing in table TB039A.

How to maintain the customising data?

you can either maintain the data directly in the table TB039A for the type CRM004, or use the tranasctions BUC_IDCATEGORY & BUC_IDTYPE to maintain the identifcation category & identification type.

Please make sure that the Identification types are mapped to the same Identification categories(with the same name).

whether the business partner type is maintained or not.

spro > sap guide > cross appl components > sap business

partner > basic settings > business partner types > define

business partner type

What is the type of Business Partner are you trying to CIF, Is it a customer or Sales Partner.
