I am new to PI. My question relates to basic concepts.
In ID, I can see communication channel under Business System and Business Service.
Can any one tell the difference between these two communication channels and why it is used in two palces.
Thanks.
Hi
Basically SAP PI is used to exchange the messages between different systems. It may be SAP or Non SAP systems.
So it depends upon your scenario whether you are chossing Business system or service. Based on this while configuring your channels get created.

Hi Sandy,
There is no difference between a communication channel whether it is under Business system or a business service.
The difference is only between Business System and a Business service. Which you can find by searching.
You create a Business system for the systems that are physically present in your landscape.
You create Business Services for the systems that do not have a physical existence(Server/Hardware) or those system's that are not in your landscape.
