ITS service for LDAP Authentication

Hi,

We have upgraded from Standalone ITS to Integrated ITS , Previously we used the service : RSLOGON for the LDAP authentication but the same service is not available at Integrated ITS.

Please help me to find out the correct ITS service for LDAP Authentication in Integrated ITS.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Folks,

There is no replacement to RSLOGON in ECC 6.0.

See the SAP Note [448360 - Requests in the LDAP environment (directory integration)|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=448360]

which explains this a little further:

"...

o Logging on to the SAP system (BC-SEC-LGN)

The Application Server ABAP does not support the direct use of

the directory to authenticate a user.

..."

The recommendation would be to use the authentication on the Java based

system (via LDAP) to create SAP Logon Tickets, which can be used for

subsequent authentication(s) to the Integrated ITS (i.e ABAP based systems using HTML).

For further help on this - the JAVA Security colleagues would be best to assist you further

As per SAP the LDAP authentication is not possible. Closing the post.
