Post Go Live Maintenance of Catalog

Former Member

We are implement SRM-MDM Catalog Content 3.0 on SRM 7.1, MDM 7.1

I am importing Product, Supplier data from SRM through PI.

This is achieved SAP provided content .

We are creating Products and Suppliers in ECC and then importing to SRM. From SRM we are importing to MDM.

I have also Price, UoM, Taxanomy data coming from ECC. At present I am using MDM Import Manager to import the same.

Although for initial load, I will be manually executing all the steps.

Once after going live, How is the catalog content managed.

For Ex: If new product is created, changes to the product, supplier etc.

Since the data is maintined by users in ECC. How can MDM get updated after go live.

Should we manage Job, SAP delivered content can automatically update?

Please share anything you know about Post-go live catalog Maintenance.

Hi ,

The standard report "BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG" can be used as batch Job to transfer data from SRM to MDM through PI automatically. This has also option of transfering Delta.

There is a badi also to enhance the data while transfering data from SRM to MDM. BBP_CCM_CHAR_MAINT

Data Flow is as mention below.

SRM -> PI

PI -> MDM Import Server

MDM Import Server-> MDM Data Manager

You can use the FTP / FTPS adaptor of PI to push the data file to MDM import server.

Kalandi

Hi,

Product update path is ECC -> SRM -> MDM.

Product is replicated automatically from ECC to SRM if you set middleware filter correctly.

From SRM to MDM, you should schedule a job.
