STO via Handling Unit

Hi All,

We have STO scenario where the shipping plant delivers material via handling unit. In the receiving plant we are able to receive the material only but not able to receive the handling unit.

How to get the handling unit?

In receiving plant we need to receive material with handling unit.

I am not sure which release of SAP you are in.

But there are known issues for STOs with Handling Units until release 4.7. OSS note 490865 (valid till release 5) mentions that " Handling units (HU) entered in the outbound delivery are not copied (for HU management in the receiving storage location) to the inbound delivery and must be entered manually". Please go through this and other related OSS notes and you may get a solution or resolution. Sometimes solutions from recent past may still be useful for new releases.

Also look at OSS note 723250 if you happen to be in Release 4.6 C for your error message M7279: Issue: Not able to do GR for STO delivery with packing".
