http://service.sap.com/nw04installation

Hi,
Thanks. The Java patch updation to SP21 in netweaver 04 server is completed successfully but the EP version alone is showing as SP09 in the portal-> system administration-> support-> version-> sp09. In system info-> all components-> all the patches are SP21 and but EP, EP Core is not displaying.
We have an another server for Netweaver 04 there the patch level is SP21 and EP version also 21 but there also In system info-> all components-> all the patches are SP21 and but EP, EP Core is not displaying. so I hope in NW 04 EP component will not be available in all components.
Please help me how to get the EP version to SP21 in the portal. Thanks.

Senthil.

Hello Senthil-
Hello Senthil-
I think SDM is not able to update using the SDM so you can try doing that @ os level extract ...
1.Copy the new version of SDMKITxxx.jar file to a temporary directory
(you could take the file from the inbox directory).
Then change to this directory and unpack the file:
jar -xvf SDMKITxxx.JAR
2.Navigate to the SDM folder (/usr/sap/SID/JCXX/SDM/program)
2.1 ./StopServer.sh - it will stop SDM server
2.2 ./sdm.sh jstartup mode=standalone - it will change the mode of SDM to standalone
3. Go back to your temporary SDM directory
./update
enter the path of the SDM home when asked by the updater:
/usr/sap/SID/JCXX/SDM/program
4. When the update is successfully finished,go back to the official SDM directory:
cd /usr/sap/SID/JCXX/SDM/program
4.1 Launch this command: ./sdm.sh jstartup mode=integrated -->
this will switch back SDM to integrated mode
4.2 And finally this one: ./StartServer.sh - will start SDM server
Thanks,
George Rayi
PS- Please close the other message which you have opened.
Hi Sergo,
Thanks. We have completed the EP installation as an additional usage type successfully but the EP patch level is only SP09 and all other components are in the patch level of SP16. We have to update the patches to SP21, and in the system info all components still EP components are not displayed. How to make the EP components display ? in system info all components.
We have to update the patches one by one through SDM. If not is there any specific procedure to be followed. In which first EP has to be updated then all other components to be updated.
please help me. Thanks.

Or if this is are the domain installation are you have the Domain Admin login?
Try do not use "sid"adm user for installation.
P.S. try to give direct permissions for this folder in regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\

Hi,
Yes, you can install EP as additional usuage type in your netweaver system using JSPM tool. Along with EP you have to install EPC also. You can find the procedure for the same in the installation guide under https://service.sap.com/instguides and check for installation of additional usage type.
Thanks & Regards,
Sharath
