Unable to Open ESR and ID

Hi all,

I have got a problem with J2SE Development and Runtime so i Uninstalled both and reinstalled. When i'm trying to open ESR and ID it always ask for saving JNLP file , when trying to open JNLP file i got below error

Java Web start - Launch file error

Unable to launch ESR

An error occurred while launching/running the application.

Title: Enterprise Services Repository

Vendor: SAP AG

Category: Launch File Error

JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate

I tried Administration -> Javau2122 Web Start Administration -> Re-initialization and Force signing.

But no luck. Can you please help me in solving this issue?

Please give Host entry if not given

Path : C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file

Check ur java version

Hi Kishore,

Try this.

Open Java Web start. To open enter javaws in run command.

In the General tab-> Click Network Settings.

Select Use browser Settings.

Restart your system and try opening ID again.

Hi,

I'm able to Launch ID now, but still ESR is not working.

Is it problem with Java or ESR?

still getting the same error for ESR

Hi,

Go to JAVA web start screen -> File -> Preference-> java -> check the product version of the java you have installed. If you have more version in it, remove the older version and try to run.

Hi,

I'm able to open ID with out any problem. If the problem is with Java then i think it should not open ID also.

Is it some thing wrong with ESR?

I'm not able to figure out what the problem is? Please help me to resolve this issue

Hi ,

One way is to resolve the issue is reintializing,it is now working for you ..

Administration -> Javau2122 Web Start Administration -> Re-initialization and Force signing.

look in to below thread,,search in sdn similar threads availableyou may find usefull stuff

Hi all,

I'm using PI 7.1, I didn't find Force signing option.

My Java version : J2SE Development and Runtime 5.0 update 21
