Follow the path below...

SPRO --> IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Masterdata --> Customers --> Marketing --> Define Industry sector codes.

This can be assigned in the customer master --> General data

--> Marketing --> Industry code.

This is normally an SD related work.

You can maintain industry codes for both Customer and Vendors with the below path.

SPROLog General Business partnersCustomer or VendorControl--Define Industry.
