Context menu item "Add to Source Control" is disabled in NWDS

Hello,

using my NWDS 7.11 I have developed a local software component which contains a number of development components.

Now, I want to add the development components to the DTR source control. When I open the context menu of a development component, I can see the "Add to source control" menu item. However, the item is disabled for all development components.

What is the reason for that and what am I doing wrong?

Kind regards

Alexander

Hi Alexander,

Have you login to NWDI before adding DC to DTR.

Hope it helps

Hi Arun,

yes, I did login to the NWDI beforehand.

I created a corresponding track with the required dependencies and an empty SC with the same name as my SC in the local repository beforehand. Is that correct or do I have to do anything else?

Kind regards

Alexander

Hi Arun,

I tried to perform the steps provided in that document.

But, how to perform step 5 exactly?

Kind regards

How?

Hello,

particularly, I performed the following steps:

1. I created a SC in the local repository, which matches the SC of the track.

2. I moved the exisiting DCs to the SC created in step 1.

3. Now, I created new DCs in the SC in the track.

4. I deleted all .project files from the local DCs.

5. I copied all source files from the local DCs to the new track DCs.

6. I checked-in these changes to the track.

Kind regards

Alexander
