Inspection plan for Pipelines?

Dear SAPIENTS,

Business scenario: Various pipelines located in plan and need regular inspection depending upon requirement. It can be 3 MOnth, 6 MOnth or anything. Inspection lot and result recording required.

Doubt: How can i link pipelines in system and how can i create inspection plan for them?

Kindly excuse me, but I could not understand what do you mean by pipeline? Will you please elaborate your requirement?

Why donu2019t you try by creating material code for pipeline. If your frequency of inspection is not fixed, go on creating manual lots for this.

Hi Kaushal,

1. Create material as pipeline in mm01, maintain MIC, inspection plan and do the inspection.

2. Create pipeline as equipment, make MIC, maintain calibration plan, put cycle as you need ( 2 months or whatever is the schedule). So when doing test equipment calibration, insp. lot will be generated automatically as per the cycle you maintained.

You can create the Pipelines as your Equipment.

Then create the Inspection Plan for Equipment & schedule the same as per your requirement.

If i create as a equipment than where should i enter about its functional location and installation details.

i.e the reason i am asking if create an object link for the pipeline between two equipment or functional location than how can i create lot, notification for this link?

Hi,

Can u use callibration concept here with fixed cycle lenth. Where you can able to create every 3 month or 1 month as per ur requirement.

Just check out whether you can use it.
