java Heap Size changes not possible

Hi Everyone.

I am unable to start our netweaver server as jcontrol.exe is not starting successfully. dispatcher and server0 are not starting. their status is "Starting framework" all the time..

I was unable to start config tool too. after many trial and error attempts i am able to start config tool now and i want to increase my dispatcher maxheap size from 256 to 512 or 1024mb.

But after i make the change and click on save in configtool. the status is "Applying Changes". There is no change in the status even after 2 days. Changes are not coming into effect. I made an attempt in command prompt too. But no change in the status even after 2days.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this and change the heap size.

Hi Ramakanth,

Can you check the dev_server0, dev_dispatcher and bootstrap logs in the work directory.

1024m for your dispatcher node is rather high.. I think something else is going on...
