Hello,

I created a new client (100) using SCC4. When I try to log in with user SAP* and Password PASS, I cannot.

Why? Any idea?

Hello Tommaso,

You won't be able to do it in RZ11. You need to do it through RZ10 Transaction. Please use the following steps for it:

1. Please go to transaction RZ10. Do it in client 000.

2. Do an F4 in the input field for Profile. Here you will get three types of profiles:

1. Deafult

2. Instance

3. Start

If you don't get any values it means you need to Import profiles. For this in the menu bar go to UTILITIES then to IMPORT PROFILE and then chhose OF ACTIVE SERVERS. Now you have profiles ready

You need to actually change the INSTANCE PROFILE.

Choose INSTANCE PROFILE and select radio button EXTENDED MAINTINENCE in the tab for EDIT PROFILE. Enter in change mode.

3. From the application tool bar press the pushbutton CREATE PARAMETER. Alternatively go to PARAMETER in menu bar and choose create.

4. You will get a new screen. In the parameter name input box give the value as login/no_automatic_user_sapstar and set parameter value as 0.

5. Press the pushbutton COPY in application tool bar.

6. Go back and again press the pushbutton COPY.

7. Now restart your instance.

It should work now.

If it doesnot work that means you haven't made changes in RZ10 proprely. Go to RZ10 again and check if parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar exisits with value 0 in instance profile. So in nutshell you need to make sure that it works. Also I would advise against making changes to default profile.Make the changes to instance profile only.

Please let me know if it worked for you and award points accordingly.

Regards.

Hello Ruchit,

Thank you very much for your detailed description.

I did more or less what you say, and I already marked the topic as "solved", as your answer arrived.

Hi Harisankar,

Can you please check tcode BD54 (maintaining logical systems) and see if client 100 is there.

If not, i think you need to add it to the table. The log. system name should be something like this

<SID>CLNT100

Hope this can help.

If you cannot change the parameter from inside the system, you can do it at the OS level.

Go to the OS

Stop the system

go to <drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\profile\

edit DEFAULT.PFL and add or edit the parameter

Save!

Start the system

Hope this help!

Hi,

There is a another way to change the value.Basically the Instance profile file is stored in C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\profile folder. u have to find the instance profile file in ur server and then u opened it in notepad and enter the parameter value. After that u have to restart ur server then it will work.

Ciao Tommaso,

if you try under scc4 to "copy" 000 client to you new client, it creates the same problem?
