I've just started using rev 2 of java sapgui and print preview is not working anymore.
Client: OSX 10.6.3
SAP: ERP5.0 on WAS 640
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
Hello Lorenzo,
I am able to use Print Preview with 7.20 rev.2. But maybe I am not doing the same steps, or your content is causing the problem, or ...
When having the Console (/Applications/Utlilites) open while trying to use Print Preview, do you see any exceptions or other error output in the console window?
Please create a [support message|https://service.sap.com/message] on component BC-FES-JAV.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin

This is the output in console when print-previewing:
I'm going to open a support message as adviced.

Hello Lorenzo,
the reason why it has been working for me is that I am running Signature Design theme.
After switching to the Tradeshow theme, I can reproduce your problem.
We don't need a support message in this case. Until the fix is available, you might want to use Signature Design theme.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
Hadn't ever seen Signature Design theme! Interesting.... Just changed to it and I can confirm print preview is working.
More: up to rev 1 the first time I enter a preview I see a blank page and just from the second time on (until I close sapgui, independently on wich kind of document I preview) it works ok.
Now with rev 2: print preview works from the first time (it just take 5/7 seconds more than from the second time on).
Thanks,
Lorenzo
Hello Lorenzo,
until now, you have to explicitly choose Signature Design in the preferences, default is Tradeshow. This might change soon.
Regarding Print Preview
The third party component had a bug causing the content not to be displayed the first time ... sometimes.
That component has been updated in rev 2, so this has gone away.
The reason why it takes longer the first time until the preview shows up is the time required loading all the classes of this third party component. The second time, the classes are ready to run, so it is faster.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
P.S. In case you have feedback using Signature Design (or anything else regarding SAP GUI for Java), let me know.
