Dear all,
can we delete oracle datafile when system is running? if yes, what will hapen to database. if not, why?
am using ecc 6.0 on oracle10g.

if you delete a datafile, while SAP is up, Oracle will have a hard time releasing it... but will eventually do it.
when deleting datafiles or tablespace, it is better to do this offline.
