I'll already update Solman for ABAP Stack till SP22@SP05 means solman 7.0 EHP1.But for Java stack i did not start yet.I have a few question to ask.for kernel its already sp55 7.01.

For Java stack its show SP014 in my system.means its still under solman 7.0.My question is what the next step i should follow..

To update the java stack patches till current then run the solman_setup?Which method i should choose, using JSPM or SDM Remote GUI?Need to backup or else before do it..

Please help me to find the best solution...

HI,

To update the java stack patches till current then run the solman_setup?

Answer is Yes, you should sync the patch level first then only you can say that your solman is running as EHP1.

Which method i should choose, using JSPM or SDM Remote GUI?

Answer is JSPM only!!

Need to backup or else before do it..

Yes ofcourse before starting to any patch/kernel upgarde its best practice to have complete offline backup .

Hope it will help!!

HI,

You need to copy all .SCA files tp /EPS/in along with generated XML file.

First upgrade JSPM only and then upgarde full stack using JSPM tool.

As java patches are cumulative you can just enter the java patch in your EPS/in directory along with the generated xml file and start jspm, stack will be calculated automatically thanks to the xml file.
